Zootopia

  • Buzzfeed covers the “Zoogle Photos” partnership with Google that involved that company placing selfie-cameras in animal pens at the Los Angeles Zoo, resulting in some great up-close pictures.
  • Alisha Grauso at Fortune does an in-depth look at the parody aspects of the marketing campaign and the other ways it tried to appeal to the “Millennial” audience with a sense of humor.

10 Cloverfield Lane

  • Samuel Adams at IndieWire takes issue with the “mystery box” approach to marketing not just of this movie but of most of J.J. Abrams’ big-screen output. I don’t 100% agree but I definitely see where he’s coming from with his points.
