What remains to be seen is how this “I feel your pain” button would be implemented. Brand publishers certainly wouldn’t want this within 100 yards of their posts since it would massively interrupt their strategies, and indeed there’s no evidence this will show up. So in all likelihood this won’t unleash a wave of negativity that swamps brand publishers and advertisers. Indeed Facebook will likely keep this off of Pages since it doesn’t want to do anything to interrupt the publishers it’s counting on for ad revenue.
