At Bethany Lutheran, Naperville, we actually changed the service schedule about a year and a half ago so that Sunday School did not happen at the same time as any of the services. The goal was that children should not be shunned and just moved into their own learning but instead should participate from an early age in the Divine Service.
I bring this up because two posts have come up about children in the service, one from my own church’s Cantor, Phillip Magness and one from the Necessary Roughness blog.
