Forbes puts its weight behind columns

Forbes.com is introducing 16 new columns, to be published regularly each week, covering a variety of topics. I get what they’re going for and even admire it to some extent, but feel like this is just going to create a lot of dead content that sits out there. These columnists will really need to add some value to the conversation or they’re going to wind up writing for a very small audience.

This is probably a response to studies showing more and more executive suite managers were reading business sites on a regular basis each day.
