Time off for some thinking

I’ve reached a point where I feel like I need to make a decision on the future of MMM. I just need to figure out where it – and I – am going and how it’s going exist moving forward. There are things I want to do, there are things I don’t want to do and there are realities of my life outside the blog that must take precedence. Work, family and church are all important to me and I need to align my responsibilities in those areas with what MMM means to me – indeed I need to figure out what exactly MMM means to me and why – in order to be the person I would like to be.

So I’m taking a week off from posting in order to, as Bono says at the end of Rattle & Hum, dream it up all over again. Talk to you all later.

  1. Hi Chris, looks like you’ve got intentions of shutting down the blog of reducing the frequency of posting rapidly.

While the other things in your life are important to you – me and thousands of other readers of MMM thoroughly enjoy reading and gain knowledge from your postings. Kindly try to keep it alive. I hope you find better ways to monetize your blog.

    Best Regards,

  2. Hey Chris,

As a reader/fan of this blog, it means alot to me that you are adamant about keeping MMM true to you. I applaud you.

  3. I log on to your website everyday and it’s a gold mine for my job (entertainment trend analyst).
Whatever you decide thank you for such an awesome blog.

  4. Chris,

While I’ll miss your posts, I admire your decision to step back and take stock of everything. Whatever the outcome, I’m taking this opportunity to thank you for the many times you’ve provided assistance and insight, it’s very much appreciated.

    All the best!

  5. Hi Chris – I also wanted to add that your blog is one of the most insightful and enjoyable reads out there when it comes to the film industry and social media marketing. I visit several times a day for personal as well as professional interests, and hope that you will be able to keep MMM going. All that said, I also admire your taking a step back to consider the big picture and hope everything works out for you. Have a great week off – please keep us posted!

  6. Hi Chris, just an appreciation for all you do with MMM — it’s a daily must-stop for me. If you need to reduce your workload, for me, trailers are available everywhere, and an analysis of their contribution to a marketing campaign is relatively unimportant. Same with posters, really.

  7. Hi Chris,

MMM is one of the only blogs I read regularly. It’s so insightful and entertaining. Thank you for doing what you do. I hope you find what you’re looking for. -Sarah

  8. Hi Chris,

I just want to say thanks for everything you’ve done with MMM so far. For purely selfish reasons I hope you keep it going, but you’ve got to do what’s right for you.
