  • filmstrip.jpgLionsgate has signed a deal making it the exclusive distributor of Bratz-related DVD releases. The studio earlier this year released the big-screen, live-action Bratz movie, so this makes a lot of sense.
  • Sundance will make all 83 short films accepted for the 2008 Sundance Film Festival available through iTunes, Netflix and Xbox Live. And the filmmakers will be paid for those downloads and rentals to boot.
  • Hollywood apparently isn’t going to be shying away from politically-charged movies any time soon, despite the poor reception such films have gotten in the last year or so.
  • MindShare Entertainment has promoted David Lang to president as the agency seeks to strengthen its stature in the branded entertainment field.
  • Marketing firm Trailer Park is finding success moving beyond movie campaigns into pushes for Broadway shows, helping with the campaigns for many big musicals and other event shows.
  • The next-gen DVD format wars may be decided after this Christmas shopping season, when some major players will decide where their loyalties lie and decisions are finally made.
