One of the things the blogs in the political wing of Blog World do very well is bring needed attention to un- or under-reported stories and question why those stories are being ignored.

Two Screens asks the same sort of questions today about the entertainment press. The first four episodes of “24” were leaked to one or more Torrent sites. Considering this is a huge show and a severe breach (at least on the surface) of security surrounding an anticipated program, you’d think it would get more coverage. Tom points out that it’s not and wonders why not.

My guess is Fox is effectively killing this story. Widespread coverage of the fact that those torrents are out there might cut into the eventual TV audience or begin to make people question how dedicated Fox is to the security of their shows. So it’s been killed, with only a few stories making it out there to the MSM. Of course that’s just a guess.
