Wolf Creek TV spot #3

Yet another TV spot for Wolf Creek. I actually just started seeing commercials for this while watching TV. Yeah, that’s not that interesting, but it’s my blog.

Imagine Me & You trailer

Blink and you’ll miss Anthony Head – Giles from “Buffy, the Vampire Slayer” – in this trailer for Imagine Me & You, yet another entry in the “is she or isn’t she a lesbian” genre. It looks alright enough, I just have a nagging feeling that this is a one or two joke movie that has been stretched out when it would have worked better as a short film.

Confetti trailer

Very funny trailer for the British film Confetti, the story of three couples vying for their chance to be featured in a magazine story on unusual weddings. One couple are tennis freaks, one want a musical-themed ceremony and one are a couple of nudists. Funny stuff, if you’re looking for a broad comedy of manners.

Rocky Balboa blog

Well, stock up on canned good and bottled water. There’s a blog for the upcoming Rocky Balboa, Sylvester Stallone’s upcoming latest entry in the Rocky series. Normally I would applaud this type of move but the subject matter being what it is, and the fact that it looks like another one of these video-only blogs, I just can’t summon the good feelings. Sorry.

New Match Point poster

The Movie Posters site has a look at a different poster for Woody Allen’s Match Point than I had seen before. Not great, even if the movie looks so, especially with the ping-pong paddle being held. What’s the point of that?

Pink Panther promotional poster

Check out this new, and completely ineffective, indoor poster for The Pink Panther. It’s so completely lame, it’s like they’re not even trying anymore.

Miami Vice trailer and website

There’s so much unintentional comedy in this trailer – available only via the Bicardi website – for Miami Vice that it’s just not to be believed. Now don’t get me wrong, I love Michael Mann’s work, but this just looks ridiculous. From Colin Ferrell’s mullet to the ridiculous number of set pieces this movie apparently has, it just doesn’t seem like there’s going to be too much note-worthy about this movie. I actually feel kind of sorry for Jamie Foxx. You know he took the part because he enjoyed working with Mann previously and wanted to do so again. Poor guy just didn’t know what he was getting himself into. And how much have we been told about the movie just by the fact of the trailer being on a Bicardi site?

Oh, and the official site for the movie is up now as well.
