The Honeymoooners – Marketing Recap

Brief Take

Campaign looks like shit that pisses all over the grave of Jackie Gleason. As big as pain in the ass as the guy may have been in real life he was a comedian of genius proportions as well as a great dramatic actor, as proven in Nothing In Common with Tom Hanks. This looks like a horribly unfunny movie. The only reason I can see this having The Honeymooners name on it is that the studio owned the name, was given a script that vaguely resembled the characters. Then, instead of developing a property that lived up to the TV show’s reputation they quickly and cheaply slapped this together.

Anyone disagree with this theory?
