FilmForce: Director Lashes Out at Hollywood

Thought this was interesting enough to link to. John Maybury chimes in on the marketing decisions made for his new movie, the Natalie Portman/Adrian Brody starring The Jacket (entire story at the link above:

Not one to only bash the work of others, Maybury is also unhappy with the way The Jacket is being promoted: “Marketing has created a new kind of world. And they’re promoting this film as a horror film, which is a lie. There’s going to be a disaster the first weekend when all the kids who think they’re going to see The Grid or The Hole, find out they’re watching some pretentious European drama.” (Laughs)
