When I folded Movie Marketing Madness back at the end of 2011 the last column I wrote was for We Bought A Zoo. That was, for those of you who weren’t keeping count on your own, that was my 489th MMM column. The fact that I ended so close to a nice click of the odometer always kind of nagged at me.

Well now I can say I finally achieved the long-pending milestone. MMM: Bridge of Spies is the 500th Movie Marketing Madness column I’ve written since I started on (the now defunct) FilmThreat in May 2004.

There isn’t a whole lot of soul-searching I need or want to do about this. Most of that ground was covered when I talked about reviving MMM after an almost 4 year hiatus. But I like marking these milestones. Let’s see how long it takes me to hit 1,000.
